You’ve heard your whole life that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At 1513 Anti-Aging & Weight Loss®, we agree! That’s why we offer a number of diet plans for men and women that give you the ability to budget your calories whenever you choose. So if you want to lose weight and get in shape but don’t regularly eat breakfast, this information will be of particular benefit to you.

Researchers at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have found that eating a big breakfast in the morning can help you with weight loss and appetite. They took 93 obese women and separated them into two different groups. Each group was fed a different diet over the course of 12 weeks. The total calories were kept even, but one group had more in the morning, the other in the evening. The results were astounding, to say the least

Those who ate more calories in the morning saw improved weight loss and significantly lower levels of the hunger-regulating hormone ghrelin. Additionally, they saw a significant decrease in insulin, glucose, and triglyceride levels, all of which help in reducing cravings and sugar spikes. The average weight loss for participants who ate more in the mornings was 17.8 lbs., compared to the 7.8 lbs. average that participants who ate more in the evening saw. Significant? We sure think so!

The results speak for themselves. Starting the day off with a hearty and healthy breakfast is one of the best ways to lose weight and improve your health.
